Hard Disk Manager 6.0

HOWTO add Hard Disk Manager to the Plugins List of Bart's PE Builder:

Unfortunately PEBuilder cannot add Hard Disk Manager to the Plugin List in an usual way because it does not support setup packages made by InstallShield. The custom procedure is required to complete this task.

The procedure described below was tested with Bart's PE Builder v.3.0.32 only.

First of all, you need to create the correct directory tree:

1. Install Hard Disk Manager 6.0 in Windows environment
2. Install PE Builder in Windows XP or 2003 environment
3. Open the directory of PE Builder
4. Open the subdirectory "plugin"
5. Create the new subdirectory "HDM6" inside the "plugin" directory.
6. Copy attached "HDM6.INF", "HDM6_nu2menu.xml" and (optionally) "HDM6.htm" to that subdirectory.
7. Create the "files" subdirectory inside the "HDM6" directory.
   
   The resulting directory tree should be the following:
   

   	[-] plugin
   	 |
   	  ..(other plugins)
   	 |
   	 --[-] HDM6
   	    |
   	    --[-] files
   

   Now you need copy some files to the "files" subdirectory:

8. Find the "WnASPI32.DLL" file in the %WinDir%\system32 directory
   (by default, %WinDir% it's "C:\WINDOWS\system32" for Windows XP/2003).
9. Copy "WnASPI32.DLL" to the "plugin\HDM6\files" subdirectory (see above, pp.5-7).
10. Open the directory of Hard Disk Manager
    (by default, it's " C:\Program Files\Paragon Software\Hard Disk Manager" or " C:\Program Files\Paragon Software\Hard Disk Manager Deployment")
11. Copy subdirectories "WinHDM", "NLS" and "WinIE" from Hard Disk Manager's directory to the "plugin\HDM6\files" subdirectory.

    From that point the "Paragon Hard Disk Manager 6.0" plugin is ready

HOWTO use Hard Disk Manager plugin:

• Run Bart's PE Builder
• On the "Plugins" screen (4-th screen of PE Builder), check that following components are selected:
  • Nu2Menu
  • Paragon Hard Disk Manager 6.0
  Other components are not important for running Hard Disk Manager.
• Other useful components:
  • Check Disk
  • all "Network Support" options
  • A43 File Manager Utility
  • BartPE Harddisk Installer
  • Bart's Stuff test
  • Boot Fix

     GO => Programs => Paragon Hard Disk Manager 6.0
