| Hardware Support |
- Common: According to the Windows distribution CD used to generate the rescue boot CD all hardware is supported by the RBS which the involved Window version covers by default.
- Additional Drivers : Additional Network and Disk Controler hardware support can be added by coping the driver installtion kits to the pebuilder installation subdirectories drivers/net , drivers/ SCSIAdapter.
Therfore it's quite simple to adapt hardware support for hardware, windows drivers are available for.

- Analysis: Network environment, hardware evaluation, system installation on local hard disks, file attributes and conent, changes (software, hardware), viruses, common application data on hard disk, streams, linux file systems.
- Repair: File recovery, system repair, removale of viruses and male ware, MBR, removale of unwanted system changes.
- Configuration: Network devices, NT services, raw memory and disk editing, NT registry editing, NT accounts, hard disks and partions, system directories and files, local and remote applications
- Safeguarding: conent on hard drives, file content protection (encryption) , information hiding (steganography)
- Miscellaneous: using hardware without touching local harddrives, data and information transfer via IP networks, remote administration, hardware testing

Tools to analyse, document or configure hardware and os installations on harddisks, as well as handle the running system.
- Diagnostics-Info / About: RBS Version Info
- Diagnostics-Info / BGInfo: displays information about a Windows computer on the desktop's background
- Diagnostics-Info / Rom Bios view: displays SMBIOS tables
- Command Prompt: windows comand shell cmd is started.
- HxD: Hex editor to editing and modifying main memory and raw disk.
- Windows CD-Key Finder: Read and change Windows CD-Key and other software keys.
- NT Password Change: Offline NT Password Registry Editor, enables to (re)set the password of a user account on a non active NT system.
- NT Password Edit: Editing the password of a user account on a hard disk with a regular Windows installed
- NT Password Renew: Offline NT Password Registry Editor, enables to (re)set the password of a user account on a non active NT system.
- Process Explorer: shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded.
- RegAlyzer: A tool to browse and change the registry, providing some more features than the regedit.
- RegistryLoaderPE: A tool allowing to load registry hives and user profiles of NT not used by the current running system. The loaded hives can be edit with a registry editor.
- SDisplay: Actual display resulution can be changed by using the hot key CRTL-Shift-O
- ServicesPE: Configuration of Windows service entries
- SIW: detailed hardware information reporting

Tools to use and analyse IP-networks.
- Net Config / : utilities of standard BartPE distribution to configure and start network support
- Net Drives / : utilities of standard BartPE distribution to connect and disconnect network drives
- Net Info / : utilities of standard BartPE distribution to show Hatsname, IP Configuration and network components
- Firefox2: full-featured web browser; can be configured also to be used as IRC client.
- Putty : Telnet and SSH client
- M$ RemoteDsktp: Remote Desktop Client inculded within the standard BartePE distribution
- Simple Socket File Transfer: transfers files between two computers using a TCP port of any choice.
- SuperScan4: IP-Network Scanner
- Tftpd32: DHCP, TFTP, SNTP and Syslog server and TFTP client
- UltraVNC: remote machine control client and server. Update: required windows server services are started when UltraVNC is loaded.
- WinSCP: FTP and SFTP client .

- ADS Locator : find ADS entries that are of the user type "alternate"
- CalmWin: Virus sccanner
- FileAlyzer: basic analysis of files interpret common file contents.

- Recuva: Utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer.
